Purpose

Our purpose as the Student Government Association of Hunters Lane Comprehensive High School is to create an environment of student participation at all grade levels. We exist to create a healthy atmosphere for all students and to encourage their involvement in school- and community-wide activities.

Vision

This year our main purpose is to recognize the amazing students that we have at Hunters Lane. We have been graced with a widely varied student body, and the Student Government hopes to make this year about creating opportunities for students to build both student involvement and school pride. This is a school of many talented, well-rounded individuals who involve themselves in a variety of organizations both in and out of school. We want every child who participates in a sport to be recognized for their hard work on the athletic field, for every student who competes in DECA, BPA, FCCLA, math competitions and other academic related competitions to be known, and to remind the school of the individual achievements that are made here each and every day. Anytime a Hunters Lane affiliate goes out into the community, they are representing all of us.

Our purpose is to provide a healthy atmosphere for all students, which has brought us to our vision of congratulating every student on their hard work, not just those who make the headlines. We also wish to recognize the wonderful teaching, administrative and technical staff that helps to make our school what it is. These often under recognized individuals have helped to create the school we learn in, and should also be thanked for their hard work. Ultimately, we want a school where everyone – students, parents, faculty, and community feels welcome, wanted, and appreciated.
