AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination and is a high school program that prepares students in the middle achievement level with the potential to succeed in rigorous secondary curriculum and achieve four year college eligibility. It enables secondary students to increase their opportunities to enroll in four-year colleges. The AVID program teaches students how to study, read for content, take notes, and manage time. AVID is a class which meets during the regular school day. |
